Think the 3DS Launch Line-up Sucks? A Comparison of Past Nintendo Launches

There's been a lot of whining on message boards over the last week about the Nintendo 3DS North American launch line-up. Admittedly, some of the criticisms and disappointment expressed by fans online has been warranted. Frankly, the 3DS launch line-up isn't Nintendo's best – even if what Reggie says about it being a strong third-party line-up for a Nintendo platform is true. The lack of a clear flagship title – well – just straight-up sucks for Nintendo fans.

That said, I thought it'd be worthwhile to look back at some of Nintendo's other launch efforts. Below you'll find a list of all of Nintendo's North American launch line-ups over the decades.

Welcome to Inverted Look

I want to take a moment and welcome you to my blog.

I'm a journalist who has been writing about video games for about a decade now. I used to manage and write for Kombo.com, but have since gone on to have stories published in numerous publications, including but not limited to IGN, GamePro, The Escapist and The Examiner. And hopefully more soon.

So, how about this here blog? Inverted Look is a place for me to publish my thoughts in between my bigger writing projects.

Essentially, Inverted Look's goal is to provide a gamer's perspective on many things (that perspective being mine, of course).

So, what can you expect from this blog? I'm a gamer, tech enthusiast and movie lover, so those are the passions that I'll be blogging most about. Every once and a while, though, I'm sure I'll get off topic.

But the primary goal of Inverted Look is to offer thoughtful commentary on these subjects. Simultaneously, I'd like to hear your thoughts as well, which you can share by commenting on my posts.

So, yes, while Opinionated will serve as my kind of soap box, it is also designed to be a place for discussion of video games, tech and entertainment. So, don't be shy. This is a place for the opinionated, after all.
